Outlined below are the factors that need to be considered when cleaning the Orb. Both in the clinic and in your home. We also recommend some 'tried and tested' cleaning solutions that are currently available on the market.

 

 

 

 

 

 

When cleaning your Orb, four (4) factors need to be considered:

1. Hygiene – Avoid cross contamination from one person to the next.

2. Presentation – A dirty Orb is not a good look in professional practice or clinic.

3. Energy transfer – Remove all energetic properties of the previous person in session, before embarking on a new session with a different individual.

4. Life of Orb - The longer you soak your Orb in any solution, the shorter the life of the components of the Orb. So soak at a minimum.

To keep your QEnergySpa Orb clean, there are a few different methods that may be employed depending on your situation:

In the Clinic

Following a session in a clinic or practice setting, it is recommended that you:

1. Rinse your Orb in clean warm water.

2. Place your Orb in a cleaning solution for a few seconds (this will ensure removal of any deposit of sediment or mineral and energetic properties). It is strongly advised that you wear protective gloves when cleaning the Orb using the recommended cleaning solutions.

3. Rinse Orb vigorously in a container of warm water, to wash off the residual cleaning solution and place under fresh running warm water for 30 seconds (your Orb is ready for the next session).

4. At the end of the day, you may like to pull the Orb apart and leave it in solution 5 – 15 minutes. This is a good time to inspect all the components and replace the Rings & Tracks if needed. If the Orb shell and Centre Module are still dirty after the 15 minutes of soaking in solution; these parts can be soaked for longer. Glitz may be the stronger product to use where discolouration of the Orb remains a difficulty.

Note: The field created during session slowly alters the components. Over time the plastic becomes increasingly more brittle. Pulling the Orb apart regularly, ensures that the components don’t adhere, making it difficult to pull apart.

Currently there are three (3) recommended cleaning solutions: These are available in Australia; KETTLE MAGIC or Descale Magic (Coles Supermarkets), GLITZ Calcium Scale and Rust Remover (available a Bunnings Hardware Stores) and CLR (most supermarkets). They should be mixed one part cleaning solution to one part water.

 

 

Safe-AR d-LYME-it is mixed one part solution to two parts water. Safe-AR d-LYME-it is available from QtheExperience Scottsdale USA office, along with other accessory items for your QEnergySpa.

These mixtures can be stored in a re-sealable container and used many times before needing to be replaced. The Safe-Ar d-LYME-it solution when first mixed can be relatively aggressive and it is advised that you do not leave your Orb in this solution for longer than the recommended time period as it may degrade Orb components prematurely. Once the solution has been used a few times, this aggressive nature diminishes.

WARNING: Be aware that all of the above mentioned cleaning solutions may damage cupboard, floor and bench top surfaces, in their undiluted and diluted states. Hence, it is always a good idea to clean up spills as soon as they occur. QtheExperience / QtheExperience accept no liability for any damage or injury that may occur by the use of these solvents.

 

A Natural Cleaning Solution

1. Rinse your Orb in clean warm water.

2. Prepare your natural cleaning solution by adding 2 tbs. of salt to 1 litre of lemon juice.
3. Place your Orb in cleaning solution for 5 minutes between sessions (this will ensure removal of any deposit of sediment or mineral and energetic properties).
4. Rinse Orb vigorously in a container of warm water, to wash off the residual cleaning solution and place under fresh running warm water for 30 seconds (your Orb is ready for the next session).

At the end of the day, you may like to pull the Orb apart and leave it in solution 10 – 15 minutes. This is a good time to inspect all the components and replace the Rings & Tracks if needed. If the Orb shell and Centre Module are still dirty after the 15 minutes of soaking in solution; these parts can be soaked for longer.

 

  

 

In your home

For home users, the cleaning of the Orb may be carried out as described above. However, to lengthen the life of the Orb components, it is advisable to clean your Orb at a minimum, e.g. every time you replace your positive rings and track set. This will ensure that you do not get an excessive build up of mineral and other deposits that may interfere with the proper function of your QEnergySpa.

If however, more than one person is using the Orb, it is recommended that a solution is used between the different users to ensure that no energetic component from the previous person interferes with the session of the next person.
